In the summer of 2021, I participated in the Summer Research Academies at UCSB, a competitive research program with an 18% acceptance rate. I was part of the program's Track 4: Borders and Fences, which focused on the laws, ethics, and policies of global migration. In this program, I co-authored and presented Melting the ICE: Analyzing the Change in American Perspectives of Immigration Enforcement from 2020–2021.
